This is the true story of one woman's decision to diverge from the standard and accepted route for treatment of cancer. The situations and incidents encountered as a result support the adage that truth is stranger than fiction.

The herbal path she chose is known as the Hoxsey therapy which originated in a small town in Illinois almost a century ago. By 1950 there were 17 Hoxsey Clinics throughout the United States treating thousands of patients - very successfully.

In 1987 an award-winning documentary film on a four-year long study of Hoxsey premiered in New York City and was shown around the world.
